Who
can play in the Connecticut Junior Team Tennis League ?
Boys
and Girls ages 6 to 18 are eligible to play USTA Junior Team Tennis.
Currently, Connecticut Junior Team Tennis has divisions for players
ages 10 to 18 in five regions of Connecticut.
The primary prospective
players for USTA Team Tennis are youth graduating from USTA Tennis
1-2-3 and those who have participated in USTA School Tennis or USTA
NJTL. USTA Junior Team Tennis is also great for High School players
who wish to keep developing their skill during the off season.
How
are teams organized ?
Teams
are organized using the Junior National Rating Program (JNTRP) to
match players of similar age in ability. These teams then compete
against other teams in one of two league divisions: 14 & Under,
or 18 & Under. Currently Connecticut Junior Tennis runs 14
& Under and 18
& Under divisions.
